MP3Fiesta Review

MP3FiestaService is no longer accepting new registration and is moved to a new site - MP3Panda.
More about MP3Fiesta problems.

MP3Fiesta is a music downloading service providing cheap and legal mp3 music. Site has a fancy retro-style design, prices start at $0.10 per track. MP3Fiesta has almost the best catalog and together with a nice design it makes this site my favorite one.

MP3Fiesta has about 1 million tracks in stock, more than 30,000 artists and 80,000+ albums available to download. Over 300 albums are added to the collection every day! It is new releases, chart hits, together with old-school retro, bootlegs and live perfomances of various artists. Catalog has music from various genres, including international music from the UK, Europe and the World.

Important Notice: Service seems to be not accepting credit cards nor any other payment methods. Processing systems refuse to accept payment to refill user balances. Thus, consider choosing other mp3 downloading service

MP3Fiesta pricing policy is very pleasant as well. Usual tracks cost about $0.10-$0.20, but you can get a discount when you download entire album rather than single tracks. For example, 15-songs album should cost $3, and when you download entire album it cost you only $1.98!

Music that you download from the site comes in MP3 format, so you can play it on any device that understands MP3 - iPod, mobile, MP3 players, burn it on CD and convert to audio CD tracks. Another great feature of the site is the ability to preview any song before you download it.

Bonuses
There are a few discount options available at MP3Fiesta.com these are in the form of % bonuses rather then bonus tracks. For example if you add $29.9 you will receive a 10% bonus, if you add $39.9 you will get 15% bonus with the maximum being $99.9 for a bonus of 25%.

Legality
It's worth highlighting that the services are perfectly legal in Russia. The legislature there enforces compulsory licenses, which means that anyone can get the license to distribute and sell music as long as they pay for it somewhere. In the US if you plan to sell a certain CD, you have to negotiate with the labels, and that's why the original Napster got shut down by the courts - they violated the law by not obtaining the licenses from the RIAA mob.
In Russia if you prove that (a) you keep track of what you're distributing (log number of downloads) and (b) you pay to the collection agency, you're legal to distribute any music you want. The collection agency (ROMS and FAIR, quoted in the Wall Street Journal article) will then re-distribute the money to the copyright holders. More information about the legality of the services could be found HERE.
